ilkamedia is a an independent London-based PR & marketing consultancy run by Ilka Schlockermann. Ilka has over 10 years music industry experience, including label/product/artist management, marketing, PR, international, artwork co-ordination & production. She has worked with various genres of music and specialises in contemporary music from Africa and the Diaspora, World music and Urban music.

ilkamedia provides clients with a wide range of cost-effective PR/ marketing solutions and services. Clients benefit from ilkamedia's extensive network of contacts in the African, World and Urban music industries, as well as a clear understanding of how to target campaigns appropriately both to specific BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) communities and the mainstream media.

Ilka Schlockermann holds a university degree in business studies and has worked for record labels such as Cooking Vinyl, RMG (Death Row Records & The Grapevine Label), Luaka Bop as well as pro audio PR company KGa.

She is currently working with a range of artists (such as JJC & 419 Squad who she manages, Bantu feat. Ayuba and X2), labels (such as out|here rec and Piranha), as well as a restaurant (Obalende Suya Express) and a live music club (Chilli Fried).
